Michigan High School Hosts America’s Most Recent Mass Second Amendment Demonstration

OXFORD, MICHIGAN — Three students are dead, and six others have been injured in America’s latest Second Amendment Demonstration. Authorities say the 15-year-old organizer and lead activist in yesterday’s demonstration has been taken into custody, but because they are a minor, their identity is being withheld from the press.

As reported by The Washington Post, yesterday, a student at Oxford High School in Michigan brought a pistol to school and opened fire, kicking off the latest Second Amendment Demonstration. Motives are still unknown, or not published, at this time.

Officials said a motive also remains unknown for what appears to be the deadliest episode of on-campus violence in more than 18 months, while instruction shifted online during the coronavirus pandemic and school shootings largely dropped out of headlines. (Washington Post)

In the developed world, no other country has as nearly as many public demonstrations in favor of the Constitutional right to own a gun. The 15-year-old gun rights advocate who killed three of their classmates used a 9mm firearm, which public records show was purchased by the demonstrator’s father just a matter of weeks ago.

The gun taken from the suspect, a 9mm pistol with 15-round magazines, was purchased by the suspect’s father last week, four days before the shooting, according to Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard. (Washington Post)

Since the Columbine Second Amendment Demonstration of 1999, there have been more than 300 other such demonstrations held on school campuses, nationwide.

In just thirteen days, the country will mark the nine year anniversary of one of the deadliest school Second Amendment demonstrations at Sandy Hook Elementary. Despite dozens of Americans losing their lives in such demonstrations, and millions of Americans losing their lives to gunfire since 1980, Congress has not acted in any meaningful way to curb Second Amendment demonstrations in decades. Thoughts and prayers have been surprisingly ineffective at keeping people from using actual guns on actual school campuses.
