Well…shit. How did this end up happening, anyway? Doesn’t everyone indicting him understand the rules have never, and never will apply to him? Think of the dangerous precedent we’re setting if we start trying to hold rich, white billionaires accountable for breaking the law like we would hold a poor, black teenager accountable for stealing a pack of gum from the convenience store.
Apparently, and this will come as a shock to a lot of people, but people like Jack Smith and Fanni Willis didn’t get the memo, though, and they’re not going to let him fuck around with impunity, and instead they both very much so favor introducing the daughter-lusting ex-president to the “find out” paradigm that often follows the traditional fuck-around. It seems particularly mean to charge Trump with violations of the “RICO” act when he can’t even spell “RICO.” But that’s just east coast liberal bias against white collar criminals, I suppose.
The question of course will endure, and only the bravest of patriots will see fit to answer it:
Will the Republic endure this incessant barrage of the Rule of Law and due process?
His Royal Highness will soon find out.
